Hi, I'm Amber McBee.

With two daughters 17 months apart, I know a thing or two about feeding babies...or more accurately, cleaning up after feeding babies. 

​

After a few months of feeding two kids, it felt like all I was doing was preparing or cleaning up meals. It was exhausting and certainly not the way I wanted to remember my children's first experiences with food.

​

As an avid scrapbooker, I wanted to create a keepsake that highlighted the fun, and yes, messy memories of my girls' squishing, spilling, and sometimes tasting their first foods.

​

I decided to create a scrapbook that not only showcased my kids but that I could read to them as well! I hand-illustrated 26 foods, one for each letter of the alphabet, and printed a hardcopy book of my artwork. After adding my girls' photos scrapbook-style, I realized that anyone could create their own version of the book using their children's photos, with a little help...and thus Baby Eats The Alphabet was born.
